Xrdp login from Windows Remote Desktop

When I use remote desktop from windows to Lububtu 20.04 running xrdp I get a blank screen with just the bar on the bottom. I use my normal ID/password when logging into xrdp…

If I log in same way as a different user I get my normal desktop for that user.

Does that mean xrdp does not want remote user and current desktop user to be same???

That is NOT a problem, but I was just a little confused.

I can always log in with ID that is not currently active on my Lubuntu

Sounds to me like it is likely something to do with the XRDP configuration between the two users. This could be something as subtle as default session or an error in .bashrc or the like. Should be the same.

P.S. NoMachine works better.
