What is resolution and colors to be used in face.icons?

Hello.
In Lubuntu documentation has information about written
/home/username/.face.icons

I have converted an jpg to icon.
The image not is showed in SDDM login screen.

What is wrong ? What is resolution and colors to be used in face.icons ?
Really the correct name is .face.icons ?

Lubuntu manual has the reference .face.icon

Try with that, works for me.
