successfully installed 20.04 on Intel Compute Stick STCK1A8LFC

I successfully installed 20.04 on the Intel Compute Stick STCK1A8LFC (Atom Z3735F, 1GB RAM, 8GB eMMC) that comes with factory pre-installed Ubuntu 14.04. 20.04 is working right now, and my wife is watching streaming video on her TV. Everything seems pretty fast.

For some reason, the Lubuntu 20.04 installer forced me to choose manual partition method. It had a 47MB FAT16 boot partition, which I don’t understand, but I created:

  1. 100MB FAT32 partition at /boot/efi (tagged “boot”)
  2. 6500MB ext4 partition at /
  3. remainder linuxswap partition (tagged “swap”)

I didn’t know if that would work because I don’t know how big or small the ext4 partition has to be, but it worked. Does anyone have an idea of how much smaller the ext4 partition could be (allowing larger swap partition)??
