Is there a way for me to see my current physical desktop remotely? I tried:
$ sudo apt-get install xrdp $ cat ~/.xsession lxsession -e LXDE -s Lubuntu
on the physical machine and reminna on the laptop. It opens and closes quickly. I suspect it is trying to run another lxsession. I just want to connect to the existing lxsession from a laptop.
I can recommend using “NoMachine” works great on Linux/MAC/Windows and is free. You can download it and let “Discover” run the setup.
I have the best luck with x11vnc or with forwarding graphics via SSH.
