Have added the kdenlive PPA as per instructions here. Then as I use Synaptic to install ‘kdenlive’ and ‘kdenlive-data’, I get the following errors in Synaptic:
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.
E: Unable to correct dependencies

E: Unable to lock the download directory
I ignored those errors and went ahead anyway by trying again. The installation seems to go thru, application also launches. Didn’t quite get what the fuss was about. Now I am worried that it might have broken something, s.a. installed conflicting dependencies. How to figure out what might have gone wrong and rectify ?
