Thank you to the team for releasing LXQt 1.2.0 to the backports today. Everything is running smooth as expected. I also changed to the OpenGL backend for hardware acceleration.

I think I had the ppa before the upgrade to 22.10 and it was disabled.
I uncommented it and I get an error:

There is no ppa for 22.10, it is for 22.04 which is the LTS
