Lubuntu Homeserver Sleep

I recently set up an old laptop (HP 15-ba Series) as a home server. After a certain period of time, e.g. a day, the server seems to go into sleep mode.

Then I can no longer connect with SSH and the server is no longer accessible via the network.

Physically, the server seems to still be on. The fan is still running, but I can no longer wake up the laptop by pressing a key. I have installed Lubuntu 24.04 here. I have already tried the following to solve the problem.

I also checked the Power Management setting through Libuntu Settings. Notting seems to work.

Does anyone has a solution for this? Maybe it is a Hardware problem?

Slim chance in heck: look to see if there’s some sort of power management in settings.

Other off the wall but possible options: look into power management options in your graphics and networking kernel drivers.

Barring that, I’d figure out the duration of time before it shuts down. If it’s not consistent, I’d suspect a hardware issue.

Maybe there’s something in the bios that needs to be changed.

After some online search, i found the hint to update the BIOS. This resolved the Problem.
