Lubuntu 20.04 - Hibernation/Suspend does not work

Can’t hibernate, can’t suspend the system. The system has swap file and it is working. Tried many articles like this one with no success. So the result from following that post is that when I ran the command ‘sudo hibernate’ the display turned off for a moment then quickly came back and the terminal displayed a message ‘hibernate:Warning: Tuxonice binary signature file not found’. Nothing else happened. Is there a fix to make hibernation work ?

I am running an old netbook Asus 1201n.

It might be related to swap and or grub needing some extra tweaks… but the rabbit hole continues.

Can always try the other program mentioned in the answer but my money is on grub.
