Cannot Add Inkscape 0.92.5 Repository

Previously, I used Lubuntu 20.04 to install Inkscape version 0.92.5

However, currently when using in Lubuntu 20.10, I can’t add the inkscape repository version 0.92.5. I encountered an error message like:

E: The repository ‘http://ppa.launchpad.net/inkscape.dev/stable-0.92/ubuntu groovy Release’ does not have a Release file.
N: Updating from such a repository can’t be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.
N: See apt-secure (8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.

I want to install version 0.92.5, because Inkscape version 1.0.x is very heavy running on my laptop.

Please help.

PPAs are 3rd party sources, and the owner of the personal package archive has the choice of what releases they build for. All checks as to the maintenance, reliability, security and trustworthiness of PPAs are on you.

A quick look at https://launchpad.net/~inkscape.dev/+archive/ubuntu/stable-0.92 will show groovy is not supported by that PPA.

The error message is correct; there is no support. You should remove the PPA, or better yet have performed the security checks before adding it and you’d not have had this error.
