Hi everyone:
I try to boot on a Lubuntu 18.04 LTS USB stick I just created using Rufus (options MBR / BIOS (or UEFI-CSM)) on my Samsung Ativ Tab 3 tablet (running Windows 8).
My USB stick seems to be recognized on boot as I can select it in the following menu:
But whatever I do, the tablet always boots on Windows 8

Any idea on how I can boot on this f***ing USB stick?

Does it have a 64-bit UEFI or a 32-bit UEFI?

It’s a 32-bit system (and so I downloaded the 32-bit distribution of Lubuntu 18.04 LTS).
The 32-bit Ubuntu is, as far as I know, not bootable with UEFI. And I don’t know, if there is any distribution which has UEFI support for 32-bit.
I know, that Fedora has a 64-bit system with support for 32-bit UEFI systems. If the CPU is 64-bit, you can try Fedora.

It’s better: now I access the GRUB booting menu with “my” Lubuntu as a choice.
Maybe I don’t understand your last post correctly.
The default menu entry on Grub can be set in the file /etc/default/grub .grep '^menuentry' /boot/grub/grub.cfg you see all menu entries.GRUB_DEFAULT='Arch Linux (on /dev/sda3)' and update the grub.cfg with sudo update-grub.
With UEFI, you have the possibility to set another OS for the next boot only (depends on the firmware, might not work as expected):
Check the boot entries: sudo efibootmgr -v
Set the boot entry for the next boot: sudo efibootmgr --bootnext 0003
Reboot
With Windows:
Check the boot entries: bcdedit /enum
You can use bcdedit /bootsequence {cbd971bf-b7b8-4885-951a-fa03044f5d71} => see Microsoft docs for further informations

I can’t access the live system because the tablet has a Bluetooth-connected keyboard that can’t be used during the boot. So I can’t select Lubuntu in the Grub menu
Normally, the first entry is booted after 30 seconds. You don’t need to select anything.
