I often connect from my Lubuntu netbook to public wifi networks so it would be useful if Lubuntu actually somehow displayed it on the taskbar that I am in fact connected to the VPN, such as Linux Mint displays it with a lock icon, or even Ubuntu displays it as it can be seen on the picture below. Do you know a method that would display it on the taskbar if I am connected to VPN or not?
