Touchpad stopped working

Dear members , I am new user of Lubuntu . My touch pad stopped working . I have found following solution that works

sudo nano /etc/default/grub

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=“quiet splash i8042.reset”

sudo update-grub

Is it valid solution? please guide and thanks I am not sure i8042.reset

From what I see here, it looks like what you’ve done is totally legitimate and has, in your case, resolved your issue.
