Successfully installed drivers for TP-LINK AC600 (rtl8812au) USB wifi adaptor but it doesn't start up at boot

Hi everyone,

I’m sure there must be a simple fix for this, but I’m at a loss, so I’d be very grateful to anyone who can help!

New Lubuntu install on an Asus Beebox. The wireless cards in these are problematic at the best of times, so I’ve removed it and want to set up a USB wifi dongle - TP-LINK AC600.

I’ve installed the drivers for the adaptor using these instructions and it worked straight away (it was missing my own wifi network, but it was at least showing those belonging to my neighbours).

However, when I rebooted, the adaptor is not found.

Wired onboard etherenet is working fine.
