When installing steam it wants xdg-desktop-portal-gtk as a dependency… I believe it should be looking at xdg-desktop-portal-kde? I am on the Lubuntu 22.04 atm
You are aware that Lubuntu jammy is still in alpha with the beta freeze approaching (28-March) and beta release also ahead of us (31-March-2022).
If you look at Ubuntu – Details of package steam in jammy
you’ll note requirements are
xdg-desktop-portal-gtk GTK+/GNOME portal backend for xdg-desktop-portal
or xdg-desktop-portal-backend virtual package provided by xdg-desktop-portal-kde, xdg-desktop-portal-wlr

Yeah I’m aware. Wasn’t sure if it was a bug that slipped through to the alpha so figured I would post it here. Regardless I got around it by downloading the .Deb then running it in terminal excluding that dependency.
