Ok. How can I configure things so that mailto: links are opened in the e-mail app Evolution? Thanks in advance.
NOTE: Made a new topic because if we don’t get in the habit of making separate topics for separate problems, we get confused. This is why your other question never got answered in the topic it was in.
On to the fix. Essentially all of the default applications are set by xdg-mime or xdg-settings. You can read the manpages there, if you like but the fix is:
xdg-settings set default-url-scheme-handler mailto org.gnome.Evolution.desktop
It’s actually one of the examples in the manpage but unfortunately doesn’t have the right Desktop Entry name.
