Safe graphics mode?

Hi. This is my first taste of linux so please go easy on an ageing fool.

I have an ancient Acer laptop that was gathering dust in the back of a cupboard and decided to try breathing new life into it. It’s graphically challenged so I could only get the 20.04 live iso to run via usb using “safe graphics” mode.

It all went well and I was happy with installing Lubuntu. You guessed it. I can’t boot the fully laptop into safe graphics mode. Is there a way to do that or do I need to install something else?

Ok, I told you I was an old fool. I found the recovery option through my bios settings.
