Since I have upgraded to 19.04 I can’t download anymore from the software center among other problems. Is this a known problem with rights?
I’m sorry but I forgot the error message - you don’t have enough rights. That’s it. I’ve even added my user to the root group, chown, as well as chmod g+w but nothing changed.
I have also checked /etc/group as well as passwd. I can do updates and install apps using the terminal with sudo, but I can’t do either using the desktop. There I always get the message that I don’t have enough rights even though I even included my user in the root group. I even changed the /home/user directory to drwxrwxrwx. Nothing. Has anybody encountered similar issues and do you know how to solve it?
Alright, I found it. I’ve added
/usr/lib/policykit-1-gnome/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1 to the startup and now it works.
