I installed Lubuntu on 2011 Macbook Pro. I was looking for light Ubuntu distro because I have the GPU disable. It works ok. I installed the vmware player and win10. All works fine. There is some “hustle” to install on my laptop, but not much if you know how to. If someone need it - I will share.

If you write it up well, someone will (likely) move it to documentation. I’m not sure if you have the forum permissions required to create a thread there.
