My recently-installed Lubuntu has four desktops (by default, I think). Since I am compelled to tinker, can I set up each of these desktops to have different characteristics? For example, I’d like to have:
individual wallpapers
individual desktop icons
panels that appear on a specific desktop only

LXQt is not an activity-based desktop like KDE Plasma is today. They are virtual desktops to handle your workload. You can modify desktops number in Prefs>LXQt config>Openbox config, and distribute their apps windows in the task manager panel config.
